It all started in 2008 when Sadie came into my life. I found her on Petfinder.com and immediately knew she was ‘my dog’.
Soon after Sadie came home, she began to roll in all sorts of interesting things, leaving her smelling atrocious. I purchased many expensive dog shampoos and was still not satisfied with the quality. Her fur felt dry. Also, the scents were not anything I liked, nor did they last.
With my background as an Account Executive in the Cosmetic and Hair care industries, I knew all about quality products. Most dog shampoos didn’t list ingredients, so after much research, I began to make my own. I wanted a top quality, human grade product that was formulated for Sadie, but that I would gladly use on myself.
I began having conversations with my friends, who were also dog owners, and realized that I was not alone. Many people expressed the problems they had with their dog’s skin and coat conditions and that they didn’t smell good. They also could not find products that complimented each other; the Shampoo’s scent did not match the Conditioner (if there was one) and the colognes smelled strange.
I aptly named the company after Sadie, a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd cross and Mitzy, my tortoiseshell cat. Our products are proudly hand made in Canada with the finest ingredients from around the world.
